Jazmina Cininas is a multi-disciplinary visual artist based in Melbourne, Australia. Best known for her elaborate reduction linocut portraits of female werewolves, Jazmina's practice has more recently expanded to include performance, intricate artist books from discarded print ephemera and lagerphones in the form of Baltic nature motifs from used bottle caps and recycled timbers. Jazmina's use of waste materials in her recent art-making signals a conscious shift towards more environmentally sustainable art practices.
Performance projects include singing with Melbourne-Lithuanian folk ensemble, The Lost Clog, for whom she also creates promotional material; and printmaking concept band Press Gang, for whom she also produces original lyrics and graphic design.
Represented by Australian Galleries, Melbourne
